In 2024 Former mob boss John Gotti Jr's wife and daughter were arrested for allegedly punching a woman in the face and ripping off her wig at a basketball game after the victim asked them to stop yelling profanities at players.
Gianna Gotti, 23, and Kimberly Gotti, 55, were taken into custody on Thursday night around 8.12pm at Locust Valley High School in Long Island, New York.
Both were arraigned on a charge of assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury to another person in the Nassau County District Court on Friday morning. They pleaded not guilty, and were released.
The victim sustained substantial pain to her scalp and scratches to both sides of her face,
About an hour into Thursday night's basketball game, the 48-year-old victim said she was sitting in the bleachers when a woman in a gray jacket and an unknown male began cursing at the students in the bleachers.
'I asked the two subjects to stop calling the kids 'f***** and p***. At that point the unknown female in gray ran towards me. The female punched me and attempted to grab my hat.
'An unknown younger female with a red jacket began to punch me too. Both unknown females continued to punch me,' she said.
'At that point, I began to feel my hair be pulled and then I felt the wig come off which which was held on by three clips and velcro.
'I allowed my head to go back and I felt my scalp was going to be ripped off.'
The woman said that the women continued to rain punches down on her, and she suffered severe pain from the incident from where her wig was pulled off. She also had scratches on her face.
After they left the courthouse, John Gotti, Jr. gave a thumbs up as he walked alongside his daughter. 6.
Gianna is the granddaughter of reputed mob boss John Gotti, who was head of the Gambino crime family in New York.
His son - Gianna's father and Kimberly's husband - John Gotti Jr was the Gambino crime family's acting boss from 1991 to 1999 when he was arrested on racketeering charges. In a plea deal, he pleaded guilty and served just under seven years' in prison.
